Cette année nos envoyés spéciaux se sont infiltrés, pour vous, au Congrès mondial des professeurs de français à Durban ! Pour la première fois sur le sol africain, des professeurs de français du monde entier sont venus partager leur amour de la langue française et leur passion pour l'enseignement.

Le VidéoMaton d'IntoFrench.org s'installe au 13ème Congrès mondial des professeurs de français à Durban

Le Vidéomaton d'Intofrench s'est invité pour la première fois au Congrès Mondial des professeurs de français à Durban du 23 au 27 juillet 2012. Coups de coeur, coups de gueule et autres messages nous ont été confiés et nous les partageons aujourd'hui avec vous!

Patrick Chamoiseau, the “speech marker”

Born in Martinique, a French territory in the Caribbean, the successful novelist, children's writer and essayist Patrick Chamoiseau is obsessed by the oral tradition that defines the culture of his native island. Mindful of the fragility of this heritage, Chamoiseau defines himself as a “speech marker”. As a dowser who tracks forgotten springs, he seeks to capture the ancestral stories carrying the memory of his people and uses it to create fictional works that pass on this identity. Intofrench introduces you to an innovative artist who will soon be in South Africa to discuss, among other things, his fascinating literary demeanour.

En lien avec la construction d'un arbre à palabre dans l'enceinte du palais des congrès de Durban. Le comité organisateur du XIII éme congrès mondial des professeurs de français lance un grand concours d'écriture poétique francophone.

France-South Africa Seasons 2012 & 2013

For several years France has been engaged in a series of reciprocal Seasons with its key international partners (China, Japan, India, Turkey, Russia and Brazil among others). With South Africa, this will be the first time that a sub-Saharan country is involved in the Seasons with France.  The goal of these Seasons is to improve mutual understanding and contribute to the diversification of France’s image in South Africa and South Africa’s image in France by emphasising the modernity and values that the two countries share.

The French Season in South Africa 2012 is:

A festive period: a wide range of over 70 different projects, performances and initiatives are planned across South Africa. Cultural events will be combined with a wide array of events in other fields: innovation, science and technology, higher education, business, tourism, sport and languages with the involvement of many different actors. 
A showcase of the numerous links existing between France and South Africa
An opportunity to reinforce a wide range of existing collaborations and to build a lasting legacy for both nations.

There is so much to look forward to as the French Season in South Africa continues right through until November 2012 in towns and cities around South Africa. The South African Season in France will take place from May to December next year (2013).
