What is an acrostic poem? Francophonie 2012 information for grades 8 and 9.

An acrostic poem uses the letters in a topic word to begin each line. All lines of the poem should relate to or describe the poem.

e.g: AMITIÉ
Agréable
Merveilleuse
Inoubliable
Tendre
Irrésistible
Eternelle
